Tree and Stone

This music was composed after meeting Pat and Greg Zuber over coffee. Returned home hearing music for flute and marimba in my head, and proceeded to start writing down ideas. Those turned into this short suite of character pieces, intended to be played without pause between sections. The image of the flute and marimba led to thoughts of our much afflicted earth, where human greed leads to the devastation of tree and rock.
