Program Notes

The idea for this music came from a new friend on Facebook, who mentioned in a note that he was working on a project with a group performing with the Shakespeare/Stravinsky ensemble – soprano, flute, clarinet, viola.

Flipping through the pages of my volume of Shakespeare’s poems, I started with “like as the waves” and having finished that, didn’t feel quite done, so went on to set “No! Time thou shalt not boast…”

Then it felt done.
